Hotel Front Desk Job Description

At Ponderosa Motor Inn, we are looking for a highly organized and efficient Front Desk Clerk to join our team. As a Front Desk Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, handling room reservations, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms
  • Process group arrivals and departures
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services
  • Exchange foreign currency
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures
  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages

Work Environment:

Our Front Desk Clerk will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. This role involves overtime, but we offer a competitive salary and opportunities for growth.
