About the Job

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Coordinator to join our team at Laura Joyce.

Job Summary

This is a permanent full-time position, offering 30-44 hours of work per week. The estimated salary for this role is $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors efficiently, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Dust furniture and fixtures, paying close attention to details and using effective dusting techniques.
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture thoroughly, including stairs if applicable.
  • Make beds and change sheets promptly, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries as needed, ensuring adequate supplies are available at all times.
  • Stock linen closets regularly, organizing linens and ensuring easy access for staff.
  • Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances thoroughly, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers, maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Launder clothing and household linens efficiently, adhering to washing instructions and ironing requirements.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including but not limited to: tidying living areas, changing air filters, and polishing surfaces.
  • Shop for food and household supplies, adhering to budget constraints and dietary requirements.
  • Wash windows, walls and ceilings effectively, using appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment.
About You

We are looking for an individual who is reliable, efficient, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is an asset, but not mandatory. Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and stand for long periods is required.
