Overview

We are seeking a Technical Expert in Resilience and Stability to join our team at National Bank. This role is crucial in helping us achieve our quality objectives by promoting resiliency and stability best practices among application and infrastructure teams.


About the Role

This senior-level position involves working closely with all IT teams to implement mechanisms that improve and maintain the highest standards of resilience and availability of IT services. Key responsibilities include understanding critical environment flows, identifying single points of failure, supporting documentation and architecture diagram improvements, and performing application development and automation as needed.


Responsibilities
  • Promote resiliency and stability best practices among application and infrastructure teams.
  • Understand the main flows of our critical environments and identify single points of failure.
  • Support IT teams to improve their documentation and architecture diagrams to include resilience and stability information.
  • Be able to perform application development and automate as needed.
  • Promote and increase the automation of IT tasks to reduce human error.
  • End-to-end stability analysis and recommendations to improve system performance and resiliency.
  • Promote good monitoring practices and support IT teams in the implementation of key indicators of resilience and stability.
  • Support IT teams following major events impacting the resilience of their systems.
  • Influencing the development strategy of SREs by establishing an RREs practice.
  • Influence and help prioritize automation and optimization opportunities.
  • This role is key to delivering our development plan in order to achieve our quality objectives.

About You

You will be joining a passionate team within the Delivery, Payments, Cards, and Regulatory Compliance sector. Our team's goal is to improve performance, effectiveness, and efficiency by providing superior quality solutions and advice.


Requirements
  • 10 years of expertise in developing online services in a complex environment composed of new and old technologies (Legacy).
  • Expertise in software design of complex systems supporting thousands of competing clients.
  • Excellent understanding of DevSecOPS, monitoring, and observability principles.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB, Redis, and SQL database technologies.
  • Experience with AWS cloud technology (service development, deployment, automation, and operations).
  • Experience in infra capacity analysis (CPU, Memory, Latency, IO, Bandwidth etc).
  • Experience in load testing and analysis.
  • Great ability to solve complex multi-system problems.
  • Excellent understanding of DevSecOPS and SRE principles, monitoring, and observability.
  • Expertise in complex ecosystem monitoring.

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
