Job Title: Family Medicine Specialist

Dr. Brenda Karen Selwyn is seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Specialist to join our team. As a Family Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze medical information from patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to identify health issues and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, including chronic diseases and injuries.
  • Develop and implement health promotion and disease prevention strategies to help patients maintain optimal health and well-being.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and coordinate patient services.
  • Prescribe and administer medications, as well as provide vaccinations and other treatments to prevent and manage diseases.
  • Advise patients on healthy lifestyle choices and provide education on disease prevention and management.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient practice operations.
  • Report health data and statistics to government authorities, as required.
Requirements:
  • College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in family medicine
