About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Specialist to join our team at Dr. Brenda Karen Selwyn. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our primary care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Practice
    • Collect and analyze medical information from patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
    • Examine patients' health conditions to identify diseases and injuries, and develop treatment plans to address these issues.
    • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, as well as order laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and manage a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, medical assistants, and other support staff.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient operations.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between services.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Manage budgets and financial resources to ensure the effective operation of our healthcare services.
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our services and attract new patients.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
    • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
    • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Experience and Skills
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in family medicine or a related field
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
