Job Title: Family Medicine Specialist

Dr. Brenda Karen Selwyn is seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Specialist to join our team. As a Family Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze medical information from patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to identify health issues and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Examine patients' health conditions to diagnose diseases and injuries, and provide appropriate medical treatment.
  • Develop and implement health education programs to promote healthy habits and prevent illnesses.
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most effective medical treatment.
  • Consult with other healthcare professionals to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, and provide follow-up care to patients.
  • Advise patients on healthcare options and provide guidance on healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Supervise and train staff, and ensure that all medical procedures are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Report births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other health-related issues to government authorities.
Requirements:
  • College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in family medicine
