We are seeking a highly skilled Support and Education Program Coordinator to join our team at the Alzheimer Society of B.C. This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, with a temporary contract lasting 18 months.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a regional and provincial team dedicated to supporting people living with dementia and their caregivers. The role involves delivering support and education programs, referrals, and coordination within an assigned region.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement support, education, and information programs ensuring consistent delivery of services.
  • Coordinate the delivery of support groups for caregivers and people living with dementia.
  • Work with the team to recruit and supervise volunteers for various roles.
  • Utilize Society-accepted best practices to train, evaluate, and recognize support and education volunteers.
  • Maintain the First Link referral process to connect people with support services early in the disease journey.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education or relevant degree in health or social agency-related functions.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a health or social agency-related function.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, able to work independently.
