Ethnic Food Cook

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Safron's Caribbean Delight. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including Caribbean and Latin American cuisine.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan and prepare menus, estimate food requirements, and ensure that all dishes are prepared to a high standard.
- Cooking and Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared and served to a high standard.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Skills: Excellent cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.
- Personal Qualities: A client-focused approach, dependability, excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, initiative, judgment, and reliability are all essential for this role.
- Work Environment: The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Physical Demands: The role requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure.
