Job Title: Ethnic Food Cook

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Saigon Taste. As an Ethnic Food Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as planning menus and estimating food requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning and Food Preparation: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for our restaurant, ensuring that our dishes are of the highest quality and meet the expectations of our customers.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, using a variety of techniques and ingredients to create unique and delicious flavors.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and that all food safety protocols are followed.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet our culinary needs.
Requirements:
  • Culinary Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Culinary Skills: Proficiency in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including Vietnamese cuisine.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to train and supervise staff, and to maintain a clean and well-organized kitchen environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and customers.
