About the Role

The Royal Conservatory of Music is seeking an experienced Administrative Music Director to oversee the day-to-day functions of the ARC Ensemble. This is a part-time, 12-month contract that requires approximately 25 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between the RCM and the Artistic Director to implement the mission and vision of the RCM's Ensemble in Residence.
  • Schedule rehearsals, recordings, and performances, ensuring seamless coordination with ARC Ensemble members, guest musicians, and internal RCM stakeholders.
  • Book travel and accommodations for national and international touring.
  • Assist the Artistic Director with artistic and strategic planning.
  • Support the Artistic Director in securing local and international performance dates, including contracting and fee negotiation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in music or a related field, plus a minimum of 3 years of performing arts administration and/or management experience.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
