Job Overview

Lifemark Seniors Wellness is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physical Therapy Support Specialist to join our team.

Estimated Salary Range: $28.00 to $36.00 per hour, based on 22.50 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to supervising Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists for the treatment of senior wellness residents.
  • Assist in performing various components of the resident's treatment plan under the supervision of licensed therapists.
  • Perform treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist.
  • May conduct exercise classes to promote resident mobility and independence.
  • Ensure the gym and treatment area are safe and tidy at all times.
  • Maintain open communication with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists regarding any changes or concerns about resident status or treatment interventions.
  • Complete daily treatment records as directed by Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Rehabilitation Assistant/Exercise Therapist/Physical Education academic background.
  • Previous experience working within a seniors' care setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • A valid Vulnerable Sector screening check.
