Job Title: Adult Front Line Support WorkerKetso Yoh Men's Shelter

This role involves working with clients who are homeless, providing assistance to men who can access supportive recovery beds, drop-in, shelter beds as well as semi-independent housing.

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver front-line support services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
  2. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, promoting their overall well-being and empowerment.
  3. Provide information and referrals to community resources, ensuring clients receive necessary support.
Requirements
  1. Diploma in Social Services or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Ability to work with at-risk adults in various settings, including residential environments.
  3. Awareness of community services, resources, and systems.
  4. Basic knowledge of group facilitation, skill training, and individual intervention techniques.
  5. Experience working with Indigenous groups/communities in a cultural context.
  6. Certifications in First Aid, Class 4 Driver's License (asset), CPI-Non-violent crisis intervention, Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe, or willingness to obtain.
  7. Ability to undergo a successful criminal record search.
  8. Physical ability to lift up to 24 pounds.

Compensation

$24.09 per hour.
