Job Title: Greenhouse Worker

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Greenhouse Worker to join our team at Little Mountain Greenhouses Inc. in Floriculture Production.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to greenhouse production, including plant care, pruning, and harvesting. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) regularly.

Responsibilities:
  • Plant care: Water, fertilize, and prune plants to ensure optimal growth and health.
  • Pruning: Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants to maintain their shape and promote healthy growth.
  • Harvesting: Harvest seedlings, bulbs, and other plant materials as needed.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the greenhouse and surrounding areas.
  • Equipment operation: Operate various pieces of equipment, including forklifts, garden tractors, and irrigation pumps.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience in a related field is an asset.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work environment: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and heavy lifting required.
