Job Title: Greenhouse Worker

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Greenhouse Worker to join our team at Little Mountain Greenhouses Inc. in Floriculture Production.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to greenhouse operations, including plant care, pruning, and harvesting. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) regularly.

Responsibilities:
  • Plant Care: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, ensuring optimal growth and health.
  • Pruning: Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants to maintain their shape and promote healthy growth.
  • Harvesting: Harvest seedlings, bulbs, and seeds, and prepare them for sale or further cultivation.
  • Cleaning: Clean the greenhouse, equipment, and tools to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking and adjusting climate controls, and ensuring proper irrigation.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience in floriculture production or a related field is an asset.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) regularly, and work in a fast-paced environment.
