We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Clinical Engineer to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a key member of our Clinical Engineering Shared Administrative Service, you will provide strategic and operational medical device technology leadership and management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical equipment technology planning, including assessment, pre-purchase consultation, technical evaluation, and clinical evaluation coordination.
- Manage the life-cycle of medical equipment, including incoming inspection, repair, modification, and upgrading.
- Perform Performance Assurance management of critical medical equipment, including Performance Verification, Preventive Maintenance, and Safety Testing.
- Manage risk related to medical devices, including electrical safety, incident investigation, and recalls.
- Provide technical consultation regarding medical device usage and education.
- One year of directly related experience in Biomedical/Clinical Engineering.
- Familiarity with various computer systems and software packages.
- Post-secondary degree in clinical engineering, biomedical engineering, or equivalent.
- Master's degree in Biomedical/Clinical Engineering or equivalent.
- Recognized credit course in Project Management.
- Course in management/supervisory skills.
- Active and in good-standing membership in at least one of the following organizations: American College of Clinical Engineering, Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society, Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation, or Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
