About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to join our team at Ayrton Energy Inc. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our engineering department and overseeing the development and implementation of our engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a team of 5-10 engineers and technical staff
    • Provide guidance and direction to ensure the successful completion of projects
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures for engineering work
  • Project Management
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects
    • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules
    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Technical Expertise
    • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and technical staff
    • Develop and maintain technical knowledge and expertise in areas such as project management, engineering design, and quality assurance
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and colleagues
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and effective working relationships
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or a related discipline
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in the energy industry
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Provincial and Territorial professional engineer registration
    • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in areas such as project management, engineering design, and quality assurance
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff
