Director of Engineering

We are seeking a seasoned Director, Engineering to lead our engineering team in Western Canada. This role is responsible for implementing engineering standards, processes, and strategies that drive business growth and evolution. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide leadership to the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a system for evaluating and prioritizing engineering projects to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Drive thought leadership and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering capabilities.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards and processes to ensure effective implementation of related initiatives.
- Develop and apply methods and procedures for managing projects from inception to completion.
- Provide clear and timely project updates to senior management and the leadership team.
- Determine the resources needed to support and enhance in-house engineering capabilities.
- Engineering degree with regional accreditation (P.Eng)
- Project Management Certification
- At least 15 years of hands-on experience managing capital projects.
- Minimum of 10 years in a management role, preferably within food processing.
- Knowledge of various regulatory environments (e.g. environment, sanitation, etc.)
- Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
- Proven ability to manage the performance of others to achieve desired results.
- Ability to travel extensively.
