Job Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Wildlife Biologist. The successful candidate will have a strong background in wildlife conservation and management, with a focus on species inventory and habitat assessment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective species inventory and habitat assessment strategies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage projects and budgets
  • Provide supervisory support to team members and ensure effective team dynamics
  • Travel for short periods to conduct fieldwork and meetings
  • Valid driver's license required
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant pure or applied science
  • 5+ years of consulting experience in wildlife management and species inventory
  • Professional registration or eligibility for registration (e.g. P.Ag., P.Biol.)
  • Working knowledge of provincial regulatory systems related to wildlife and species inventories
  • Strong wildlife identification skills, with a focus on bird identification (visual and auditory)
  • Experience with invertebrate, amphibian, mammal, and species at risk surveys considered an asset
  • GIS capabilities considered an asset
