Summit, An Earth Services Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced environmental professional to join the Corporate Integration & Special Projects (CISP) Division as an Environmental Specialist. This is a full-time field position based out of our Calgary, AB office.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical guidance on environmental spills, including containment, impact assessments, wildlife management, and reporting.
- Oversee and input on reclamation site assessments, wellsite, facility, and pipeline surface reclamation projects.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage projects.
- Supervise and mentor field and office staff as required.
- Analyze and report data.
- Track and report costs.
- Maintain client relationships.
- Interact with regulatory and third-party stakeholders.
- Participate in company and client health and safety programs.
- University degree or diploma in environmental engineering, agrology, conservation and reclamation, or geoscience.
- 5+ years of experience in environmental site assessment and reclamation.
- Registration as a member (professional or in-training) in a recognized applicable Professional Association.
- Knowledge of Alberta and Saskatchewan regulations and guidelines related to surface reclamation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project team environment.
- Working knowledge of reclamation and remediation guidelines and best practices.
