Financial Administrator for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Dalhousie University seeks a skilled Financial Administrator to support its innovative programs in Atlantic Canada.
**Job Overview**
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized professional to join our team as a Financial Administrator. This role is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic organization that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and submit accurate expenditure claims to government agencies.
- Analyze and review financial reports, explaining variances and anomalies to stakeholders.
- Manage complex funding relationships with multiple government and private donors.
- Participate in audits, sourcing and relaying expense information, and maintaining organized databases.
- Compile data for financial and metrics reporting for various stakeholders.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An undergraduate degree in business, finance, or accounting, plus three years of experience in financial management and administration.
- Experience managing program/project budgets and preparing financial reporting/metrics.
- Strong organizational skills, with above-average ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and meet deadlines.
- Above-average proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with process mapping/troubleshooting processes.
