Job Summary

Dalhousie University, under the leadership of the Vice-President Research & Innovation, administers over $250M annually in research and innovation funding. As part of Dal Innovates, the Project Manager, Collide is responsible for the overall planning, delivery, and management of the Collide Validate program, a key component of Dalhousie's entrepreneurial programming suite.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the Collide Validate program, ensuring alignment with budget and funding requirements.
  2. Manage program resources, including personnel, budget, and timelines, to ensure successful program delivery.
  3. Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote the Collide Validate program and attract participants and external stakeholders.
  4. Develop and implement a data collection and metrics strategy to measure program success and inform future program improvements.
  5. Provide coaching or mentorship to students and other stakeholders as needed.
Required Qualifications
  1. Undergraduate degree in business, entrepreneurship, or a related field, with three to five years' related experience in program management, entrepreneurship, or business development.
  2. Experience with start-up methodologies, including Lean and Disciplined Entrepreneurship.
  3. Demonstrated experience leading the planning, execution, and management of innovation programming.
  4. Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement, including government, universities, companies, start-ups, researchers, clinicians, students, and ecosystem partners.
  5. Demonstrated project management skills, including budget management and program evaluation experience.
