Job Summary

We're seeking a Guest Service Associate to join our team at the Parallel Food Store in Abbotsford, BC. As a key member of our team, you'll provide excellent service to guests in a courteous and efficient manner, process orders accurately, and contribute to a safe and welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit card payments, and operating a point-of-sale system
  • Balance cash tills accurately on a daily basis and maintain a clean and organized store environment
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture by living our Core Company Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Previous experience in retail operations or customer service is an asset
  • Previous experience as a cashier is an asset
  • Lotto and/or Food Safe certification is an asset
  • Must have solid understanding of basic math skills and excellent customer service skills
  • Above-average communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven track record as a self-starter, dedicated, and reliable team member
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Must be committed to a safe work environment and able to perform physical job duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
  • Must have open availability to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, and evenings
