We are seeking a highly qualified research faculty member to join our team at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. As part of the Black Faculty Cohort Hiring Initiative, this appointment aims to increase representation of Black faculty members across the spectrum of teaching and scholarship activities.

The successful candidate will have an outstanding research record, demonstrating excellence in any area of law. A JD, LLB, or equivalent law degree is required, and a completed or substantially completed doctoral degree in Law or a related discipline is also preferred. Candidates must be able to teach in the core curriculum of the Allard School of Law and demonstrate an ability to mentor JD and graduate students.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide effective teaching and mentoring, and to assume leadership roles within the School of Law appropriate for the appointed rank. The appointment will commence on July 1, 2025, with an expected salary range of $150,000 - $320,000 per annum.
