Job Summary

Heidelberg Materials, a leading provider of building materials, is seeking a skilled Batch Plant Operator to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting a ready-mix batch plant, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality concrete mixes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain batch plant equipment, including mixers, conveyors, and scales.
  • Manage inventory control of raw materials, concrete additives, and specialized materials.
  • Communicate with dispatch and transportation departments regarding material delivery and inventory levels.
  • Conduct daily inspections of facilities and complete maintenance checklists.
  • Operate a front-end loader as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of Command batch system is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of concrete and admixtures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and safely follow directions.
  • Ability to operate loader and other yard equipment as needed.
  • Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team.
  • Ability to work safely and independently without constant supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions.
  • In good physical condition, able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain.
  • Ability to work different extended hours, holidays, and/or overtime required.
