  • Lead scientific initiatives and project management for various early-stage development projects.
  • Promote and uphold high safety standards within the pilot plant environment.
  • Conduct detailed planning, coordination, implementation, tracking, and communication to ensure timely material delivery while adhering to production schedules.
  • Assume responsibility for the successful execution of manufacturing campaigns, focusing on product yield, quality, consistency, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Evaluate and test new technologies and equipment with a science-based approach to reduce costs and streamline manufacturing processes.
  • Implement and manage a comprehensive equipment maintenance and management system, collaborating with site-based support functions such as Facility Engineering and Metrology teams.
  • Oversee the supply chain requirements of the Pilot Plant, ensuring critical supplies are available and coordinating new equipment or supplies for technology transfers.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8-12 years of industrial experience in process development, manufacturing, or MSAT, with at least 4 years in a leadership capacity, preferably in antibody-related fields.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in biotechnology, chemical/biochemical engineering, or a related life-science discipline.
  • Experience in scale-up processes, technology transfer, batch documentation, and data management.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams and developing personnel to operate pilot-scale manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills in pilot-scale process and product data, with practical experience in establishing processes for advancing investigational medicinal products.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to CMC activities for biologics, with experience in authoring regulatory submissions being a plus.
  • A passion for team development and a track record of establishing manufacturing capabilities.
  • Adept at thriving in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities, employing pragmatic, risk-based decision-making in process development and manufacturing.
