Job Overview:

Lehigh Hanson is looking for a diligent, safety-conscious, and reliable Batch Plant Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and troubleshooting of a ready-mix batch plant, which includes overseeing the mixing and loading of concrete mixtures according to customer specifications for delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate computerized equipment to batch concrete, ensuring precise calibration and consistent mix quality
  • Inspect materials and products to verify compliance with established standards
  • Report any discrepancies that may affect production or quality
  • Manage inventory of raw materials and notify suppliers as needed
  • Collaborate with Dispatch and Transportation teams regarding material deliveries
  • Maintain compliance with environmental regulations related to batch plant operations
  • Conduct daily inspections and complete maintenance checklists
  • Operate a front-end loader as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Familiarity with Command batch systems is a plus
  • Understanding of concrete and admixtures
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow safety protocols
  • Capability to operate a loader and other yard equipment
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit
  • Ability to work independently and safely without constant supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Physically fit to lift and carry up to 75 lbs, and work in various weather conditions
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, holidays, and overtime as needed
