About the Role

NOR LOGISTICS INC. is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our trucking company operations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our organization and ensuring the successful execution of our business strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to drive business growth and improvement.
    • Lead and manage a team of middle managers, directors, and other executive staff to achieve business objectives.
    • Delegate authority and create optimum working conditions to ensure the success of our organization.
  • Operational Management
    • Allocate resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
    • Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
    • Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to achieve business objectives.
  • Financial and Administrative Management
    • Establish financial and administrative controls to ensure the efficient use of resources.
    • Formulate and approve promotional campaigns to drive business growth.
    • Approve overall human resources planning to ensure the success of our organization.
  • Representation and Communication
    • Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions.
    • Delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization in official functions.
  • Supervision and Work Environment
    • Supervise a team of 1 to 10 people.
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Ensure attention to detail and a large workload.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Interpersonal awareness and team player skills.
  • Experience and Qualifications
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Permanent employment with 35 to 40 hours per week.
    • English language proficiency.
