Retail Store Department Head Job Description

Deluxe Landscaping Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Department Head to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign sales workers to duties and oversee their performance
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles
  • Authorize return of merchandise and manage cash transactions
  • Establish work schedules and supervise the activities of workers
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient stock levels
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to achieve sales targets

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in a retail management role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
