About the Opportunity

BC Cancer is seeking a talented Clinical Research Project Coordinator to support the province-wide infrastructure initiative leveraging biospecimens to promote translational research in genomics and personalized medicine.

This role will contribute to the development of large-scale budgets and develop smaller budgets for research proposals and projects in collaboration with the research team. You will assist with forecasting research budget needs, monitor expenditures, and respond to variances to ensure that funds are spent as planned and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assemble grant application packages
  • Establish procedures to ensure that objectives for assigned projects are met
Qualifications
  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to completion of a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Science or Business Administration
  • Minimum of five (5) years of recent related experience in project management and/or a research development management role
  • Broad knowledge of project design, methodologies, developing and managing project strategies, evaluation and monitoring, project management principles, and multiple project interaction and integration
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Project)
