PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Construction Technology Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for building virtual models from plans, specifications, and elevations, collaborating with the project team on the development of construction site logistics models, and coordinating trade partner model processes.
Key Responsibilities- Virtual Model Building: Build accurate and detailed virtual models from plans, specifications, and elevations, ensuring seamless integration with project requirements.
- Logistics Model Development: Collaborate with the project team to develop construction site logistics models, optimizing workflows and resource allocation.
- Trade Partner Model Coordination: Coordinate trade partner model processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of models and reports to the project management team.
- Model Updates: Assist with model updates, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to the most up-to-date information.
- RFI Support: Support the project team in the creation and processing of RFIs, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Virtual Construction Tools: Promote the use of virtual construction tools and processes to project staff, driving adoption and improving project outcomes.
- Technology Adoption: Share new technologies with project teams, driving adoption and integration into operational processes.
- Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service and support.
- Education: Bachelor's degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a buildings-industry related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), civil, architectural).
- Experience: Some co-op or relevant experience in a construction environment preferred.
- Drafting and Modeling: Drafting and modeling experience, with the ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications.
- Software Skills: Working knowledge and training in 3D modeling software and the ability to create content in VDC software, with exposure to 4D scheduling software and planning tools.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with organizational skills, high-level detail orientation, and the ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
