Job Title: Substance Use Clinician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Clinician to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Mental Health and Substance Use Services team, you will provide comprehensive care to individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide initial screening, intake, and assessment of clients to determine their needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide individual and group therapy, case management, and support services to clients and their families.
  • Develop and implement recovery-oriented treatment options and plans in collaboration with clients and natural supports.
  • Provide education and guidance to clients and families on mental health and substance use issues, recovery processes, and relapse prevention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including assessments, progress notes, and reports.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and policies.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Counselling Psychology or Social Work.
  • Two years of recent experience working with clients and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional association.
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approaches.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Acts, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and interdisciplinary teams.
