About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Clinician to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Mental Health and Substance Use Services team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care and support to individuals and families affected by substance use disorders and mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide initial screening and assessment of clients to determine their needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to clients and their families, using evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and service providers to facilitate referrals and access to services.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families, promoting recovery and wellness.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Counselling Psychology or Social Work.
  • Two years of experience working with clients and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional association.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
