The Computing Research Association seeks highly skilled and motivated candidates for a Senior Research Scientist position in hardware engineering at the University of Alberta.

This tenure track position is open to individuals with expertise in computer engineering, focusing on emerging areas such as AI and ML support, quantum systems, cybersecurity, high-performance computing, wireless communications, and IoT.

Key research interests include:

  • Accelerators for AI and ML, high-performance computing, low-power edge computing, quantum computing, and cybersecurity.

We are looking for exceptional researchers with strong industry connections and academic experience in computer engineering fields.

Estimated salary range: CAD 120,000 - 180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our team of esteemed faculty members and collaborate with leading organizations in the field.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Developing and leading research projects in computer engineering.
  • Mentoring graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
  • Collaborating with industry partners on innovative projects.
