Q-Block Computing is a leading company in quantum technology development, seeking a highly skilled Quantum Physics Research Scientist to join its innovative team in Canada.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development of cutting-edge quantum technologies in sensing, communication, and computation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the experimental developments of cavity-coupled neutral atom tweezer array for quantum simulation and computation, as well as commercialization research in quantum communication and sensing.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute complex atomic molecular optical (AMO) physics experiments.
  • Lead a small research team, and mentor junior researchers.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Analyze data and interpret results to inform engineering decisions and enhance laboratory capabilities.
  • Stay updated with the latest research in quantum science and technology.
  • Monthly progress reporting and follow best practices in research data management.

This position requires a strong background in experimental quantum information science, or related areas, with particular focus on atomic molecular optical physics. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Physics, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
