The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with expertise in computer and technology knowledge, industrial processes, and biological studies. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating computer and telecommunications hardware, as well as leading and coordinating teams of engineers, technologists, technicians, and drafters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, develop, and integrate computer and telecommunications hardware
  • Develop and conduct design verification simulations and prototype bench tests of components
  • Supervise, inspect, and provide design support during the manufacturing, installation, and implementation of computer and telecommunications hardware
  • Lead and coordinate teams of engineers, technologists, technicians, and drafters in the design and development of computer and telecommunications hardware
  • Lead and coordinate teams of design professionals in the development and integration of information and communication system architecture, hardware, and software

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  • 5+ years of experience in telecommunications engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Python, fibre optics, microwave transmission, and project management
