About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at Coast Mental Health. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic recreation services to clients with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized recreation plans to meet the unique needs and goals of clients.
  • Provide recreation therapy services in a variety of settings, including group and individual sessions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine client needs and progress.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and resources to enhance client services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience working in a mental health setting.
  • Eligibility for membership in the British Columbia Therapeutic Recreation Association (BCTRA).
  • WHMIS Certification.
  • Immunization Records.
  • Medical Clearance.
  • TB Clearance.
