Job Title: Recreational Therapist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Recreational Therapist to provide therapeutic recreation services to our clients. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to develop and implement treatment plans that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with healthcare professionals to evaluate treatment plans and develop individualized recreation programs
  • Provide education to clients on health promotion, injury prevention, and management
  • Implement treatment plans and evaluate client progress
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) designation
  • 2 years of experience in therapeutic recreation or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
