Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Recreation Therapist to join our team at the STAT Centre - Inpatient Unit at UBC Hospital.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Recreation Therapist to provide therapeutic recreation and leisure interventions to designated clients/residents. As a member of our integrated healthcare team, you will assess clients'/residents' recreation and leisure needs, abilities, and interests, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide therapeutic recreation and leisure interventions to clients/residents
- Assess clients'/residents' recreation and leisure needs, abilities, and interests
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care
We require a Baccalaureate in Therapeutic Recreation or Leisure Studies from an accredited university, and certification and CTRS credential with National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC). You must also have valid CPR and Emergency First Aid certification, and a valid Class IV Driver's License.
