About the Position

As a Fire and Life Safety Specialist at the Skyline Group of Companies, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our customers, employees, and communities. This position is responsible for developing and coordinating revisions of building floor and fire safety plans to ensure compliance with regulatory codes and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the department specialist in developing and revising fire safety plans to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with city officials and fire prevention officers to ensure fire safety planning is up-to-date and compliant.
  • Liaise with building/property managers to ensure fire safety plans are accurate and approved.
  • Develop and maintain fire and life safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with the Fire & Life Safety Specialist in creating training related to fire and life safety equipment and systems.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education equivalent to a college diploma in business administration or a related field.
  • Experience working in a professional office environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and automobile insurance.
  • Extensive Excel knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Ability to conceptualize, create, and interpret space requirements outlined from site visits.
