Central Ontario FS, a division of GROWMARK, Inc. is a leading provider of agronomic products and solutions in Central and Southern Ontario. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Health and Safety Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Identify and evaluate occupational health, safety, hazardous environmental conditions, and practices in the workplace.
  • Stay current with trends and changes to health and safety legislations and standards to anticipate their impact on our agricultural operations.
  • Research and recommend technology and relevant trends related to safety matters and assist with implementation of existing processes.
  • Review Safety Data Sheets database for Canada to ensure compliance with inventory products.
  • Assist with tracking and filing of Health & Safety related licenses and training records.
  • Participate in health & safety meetings.

Requirements:

  • Completing 3rd year of BA in related field, 2-year college candidates may be considered if minimum qualifications are met.
  • Must be 18 years of age with a full G driving license to drive a company vehicle, along with the ability to travel independently.

Working Conditions:

Additional hours, or time outside of the normal business hours, may be necessary due to operational requirements. Requires time to be spent both in office and at the branches. Traveling will be required.
