As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting our HR team in Saint John, NB. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering policies, procedures, and programs to promote positive employee relations
  • Recruitment, candidate screening, and assessments to select the most qualified candidates
  • Developing and maintaining a network of contacts to identify and source qualified candidates
  • Planning and delivering employee engagement programs and events
  • Assisting in learning administration, including course selection and annual learning plan development
  • Consulting on performance management, ensuring proper documentation and handling termination employment matters
  • Managing employee disability and worker's compensation claims
  • Maintaining confidential, accurate, and up-to-date employee files and HRIS data

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management (undergraduate degree with concentration in HR or undergraduate degree with post-grad HR specialization)
  • Experience in Human Resources and/or a CHRP designation would be considered an asset
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations in a fast-paced, diverse environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
