Release Engineering Leader for Digital Transformation

As a seasoned Release Engineering Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Canadian Banking Unit in Canada. Your primary focus will be to ensure specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of our team's business strategies and objectives. You will guarantee that all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
The ideal candidate will own the overall release management environment, working closely with external and internal projects and support teams to meet technical and security requirements. This position will facilitate resolution on impacts on various projects and enhancements, ensuring seamless production releases of software projects.
To succeed in this role, you will champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. You will define, design, and own the overall release management environment, collaborating with other engineering departments on production releases and facilitating resolution on impacts on various projects and enhancements.
This leadership position requires strong project management skills, with experience involving technical project management in an IT organization. You should have expertise with traditional waterfall and agile SDLC, involving Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. The ability to anticipate potential problems and proactively create mitigation plans is crucial.
You will work closely with project teams and other counterparts such as security, network, Cloud platform teams, Akamai to ensure Operational Readiness sign-off requirements are met. Collaboration with Delivery Leads and Senior Development Managers to effectively forecast and plan release projects is also essential.
A competitive salary range for this position is approximately $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on your level of experience.
