Mechanical Technologist

Job Summary
At Kinectrics, we are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technologist to join our Nuclear Equipment Solutions team. As a Mechanical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing lab and field tests, preparing technical reports, and maintaining good customer relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform lab and field tests using standard techniques and processes.
- Prepare technical reports and designs.
- Respond to customer inquiries and maintain good customer relations.
- Perform inspections of products and document on inspection forms.
- Prepare shipments and support laboratory or field environments.
- Test products to approved procedures using measurement and test equipment.
- Complete required paperwork to support our QA program.
- Support design, assembly, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Participate in the analysis of test results and data.
- Write reports and prepare records of test methods, observations, and test data.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by following good quality and safety practices.
- Perform clerical duties such as word processing and maintaining filing and record systems.
Requirements
- Completion of Secondary School in technical studies or equivalent.
- Up to 5 years related experience or equivalent advanced education in field of Mechanical Engineering Technology, Millwright, or similar.
- Experience using modern test equipment and instrumentation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical principles.
- Experience in troubleshooting mechanical devices, testing, and pressurized systems.
- Good computer skills for data acquisition and analysis.
- Good knowledge of QA principles and safety practices.
- High level of initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be granted nuclear site security clearance.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
