About the Role:

ABISH TECH INC. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technologist to join our team. As a Mechanical Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects, preparing design, drawings, and specifications, and designing tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects
  • Prepare design, drawings, and specifications
  • Design tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures
  • Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications
  • Prepare contracts and tenders
  • Prepare standards and schedules
  • Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants
  • Supervise, monitor, and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects
  • Test machines and equipment

Requirements:

  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Work setting: Manufacture
  • Supervision: 1 to 2 people, 3-4 people
  • Area of specialization: Machinery and components, Moulds, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Environment:

ABISH TECH INC. is a dynamic and fast-paced work environment that requires a high level of physical and mental stamina. The successful candidate will be required to work in a manufacture setting and will be responsible for supervising a team of 1 to 4 people.
