About the Role:

ABISH TECH INC. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technologist to join our team. As a Mechanical Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects, preparing design, drawings, and specifications, and carrying out mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects
  • Prepare design, drawings, and specifications
  • Carry out mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials
  • Design tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications
  • Prepare contracts and tenders
  • Prepare standards and schedules
  • Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants
  • Supervise, monitor, and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects
  • Test machines and equipment

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, organized, team player, and values and ethics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with heavy loads
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, and bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Environment:

  • 35 hours per week
