Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced M&A Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing acquisition opportunities, including valuation, negotiation, due diligence, and investment rationale and approvals. The successful candidate will have a strong background in M&A, financial modeling, and business development, with a passion for software businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage acquisition transactions from initial evaluation through to integration
  • Responsible for financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, investment approval, and post-close monitoring for multiple M&A transactions per year
  • Identify vertical market software businesses that meet our strategic criteria and specific metrics, and add new prospects to our proprietary database of industry contacts and continuously manage the pipeline
  • Engage owners, shareholders, and other stakeholders in meaningful dialogues
  • Nurture leads regularly and over long timelines, helping to progress prospective targets through the pipeline

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, in Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field is preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of experience in business/corporate development, investment banking at a boutique firm, PE firm, or B2B start-up
  • High curiosity and drive to connect with business owners and learn their stories
  • Strong telephone communication skills and capable of establishing and building rapport remotely
  • Solid understanding of company financial information
  • Solid experience in financial modeling
  • Solid experience in Excel and PowerPoint
