Key Responsibilities:

  • Bolster our relationships with government, health care, and children's services partners through expert relationship building and stakeholder engagement.
  • Design and implement effective communication strategies to promote our positions and value propositions to senior government officials and system partners.
  • Promote CMHO's advocacy efforts, advancing equity, anti-racism, and anti-oppression principles in all communications activities.
  • Leverage digital and social media channels to enhance our online presence and engage with stakeholders.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with CMHO members, fostering collaboration and alignment on strategic priorities.
  • Provide strategic counsel to our leadership team on government-related issues and opportunities.
  • Support the development of funding proposals and identify new revenue streams.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on critical incidents and opportunities impacting our members.
  • Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions and track progress toward established goals.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in provincial government or corporate government relations environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Ontario's government and political decision-making systems.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation capabilities.
  • A university degree in a related field and excellent project management skills.
