We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Director, Strategic Relations and Communications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communications and stakeholder relations plans that advance our strategic objectives and reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bolster our relationships with government, health care, and children's services partners through expert relationship building and stakeholder engagement.
- Design and implement effective communication strategies to promote our positions and value propositions to senior government officials and system partners.
- Promote CMHO's advocacy efforts, advancing equity, anti-racism, and anti-oppression principles in all communications activities.
- Leverage digital and social media channels to enhance our online presence and engage with stakeholders.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with CMHO members, fostering collaboration and alignment on strategic priorities.
- Provide strategic counsel to our leadership team on government-related issues and opportunities.
- Support the development of funding proposals and identify new revenue streams.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on critical incidents and opportunities impacting our members.
- Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions and track progress toward established goals.
Requirements:
- At least 7 years of experience in provincial government or corporate government relations environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in Ontario's government and political decision-making systems.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation capabilities.
- A university degree in a related field and excellent project management skills.
