Executive Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Chef of India. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
- Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are in good working order.
- Staff Training: Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure that they are equipped to prepare and cook food to the highest standards.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure that food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Handling Heavy Loads: Physically demanding role, requiring the ability to handle heavy loads and work in a standing position for extended periods.
- Client Focus: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that customers receive a high-quality dining experience.
- Dependability: Demonstrate dependability and reliability, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Excellent Oral Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, ensuring that information is conveyed clearly and accurately.
- Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- On-the-Job Training: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for mature workers.
