Bridge Engineer Lead Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge Engineer Lead to join our team at MPE Engineering Ltd. in Calgary, Lethbridge, or Edmonton office.

Job Summary:

The Bridge Engineer Lead will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians in the design and management of bridge projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in bridge engineering, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians in the design and management of bridge projects.
  • Develop and manage bridge design and construction plans.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Develop and manage project schedules and budgets.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Civil or Structural Engineering Degree from an accredited university.
  • A Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng.).
  • Over 10 years of experience in bridge engineering, including design and management of bridge projects.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
