About the Role

As a seasoned Contract Specialist at Brunel, you will play a pivotal role in managing supplier contract formation for a new gas terminal project. Your expertise will be instrumental in drafting, negotiating, and overseeing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure optimal terms and industry compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate procurement contracts and supplier agreements, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to assess supplier capabilities, evaluate proposals, and establish contract terms that foster strong partnerships.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier contracts, including performance, compliance, and financial risks.
  • Ensure all contracts adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and standards.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including procurement, operations, and finance, to gather insights and facilitate effective contract execution.
  • Track supplier performance against contract terms and provide insights for continuous improvement and value creation.
  • Assist in resolving any contract-related disputes or issues with suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement contract management in the oil and gas industry.
  • Previous experience with time and material based contracts.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, civil, and rail contracts is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
